Gene editing, the ability to make highly specific changes in the DNA sequence of a living organism, customizing its genetic makeup is the future of pharmaceutical industry. Gene editing enables researchers to find very precise, effective, and specific solutions to major problems or illness. But as much it sounds easier to be precise, it is much harder. A lab experiment aimed at fixing defective DNA in living organisms shows what can go wrong with gene editing and why it can be unsafe to try. In more than half of the cases, the editing caused unintended changes, such as loss of an entire chromosome or big chunks of it. To get rid of these challenges and make the gene editing therapy safer, validation of the experiments is very crucial.
Here, we provide highly specific solutions to validate the experimental data by customizing NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) data analysis pipelines, which helps the client to get deeper insights of the gene editing experiments and possibilities of improvements in the experiments. This way, we can make gene editing safer to use and the future brighter.
